🌸1. What is meant by Indian Knowledge System (IKS)?

The Indian Knowledge System (IKS) is the rich collection of Knowledge, wisdom, traditions, and practices developed in India over thousands of years.

           It includes subjects such as the Vedas,Upanishads, Ayurveda, Yoga, Mathematics, Astronomy, Philosophy, Literature, Art, and Cultur. The main aim of IKS is to promote holistic development by balancing tha body, mind, and spirit.It also teaches values like truth, discipline, respect for nature, and social harmony. Today, IKS is recognized as an important source of knowledge that can help solve modern-day problems while preserving India's cultural heritage.

🌸2. Explain The Role Of Vedas In IKS

The Vedas are the oldest and most important texts in the Indian Knowledge System. They are considered the foundation of Indian culture and learning. There are four Vedas : 

• 📜Rigveda 
• 🔥Yajurveda 
• 🎵Sam aveda 
• 🌿Atharvaveda 

The Vedas contain knowledge about religion, Philosophy, science, medicine, music, ethics, and social life. They teach moral values, peaceful living, and respect for nature. The ideas found in the Vedas inspired many later fields of knowledge, including Ayurveda, Yoga, and Indian philosophy. Therefore, the Vedas play a central role in preserving and spreading India's ancient wisdom.
